Staff Interior Designer

mossArchitects is seeking a creative, inquisitive, and proactive interior designer to join our growing team.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Collaborative participation in the interior design process through ideas, drawings, visualizations (3D models; renderings), and development of presentations
- Assists Senior Interior Designer and Project Architect with the advancement of interior design solutions, involving material research, selections, and detailing
- Produces technical drawings and assists with the assembly of construction documents, including some coordination with consultants and other disciplines
- Provides support for the permitting and construction administration processes
- Helps obtain site or project information via photography, field measurements, and research
- Participation in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions
- Aids in the organization and maintenance of sample materials library
- Involvement in general office operations
Qualifications:
- An interest in good design, sustainable design principles, and the urban environment
- Exhibits a strong design sense and capability to convey ideas through graphic skills and visualizations/renderings
- Prior experience and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling/visualization software(s), and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively on multiple projects of varying scales and complexity at different phases of delivery
- Possesses a growing knowledge of building codes, industry standards, detailing, and formatting of construction drawing sets
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- 0-3 years of professional working experience
- Professional Licensure is optional but encouraged and supported
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Ability to commute to our Pittsburgh office or willing to relocate
