Intermediate Project Interior Designer

5-10 years of experience

mossArchitects is seeking a creative, inquisitive, and proactive interior designer or interior architect to join our growing team.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

-        Collaboration in the design process through ideas, visuals, and final presentations
-        Assists project team with the advancement of interior design solutions
-        Produces technical drawings and assists with the assembly of construction documents, including some coordination with consultants, vendors, and other disciplines
-        Research, selection and detailing of finishes, furniture, fixtures, and casework
-        Provides support for the procurement and construction administration processes
-        Selection and coordination of artwork packages
-        Helps obtain site or project information via photography, field measurements, and research
-        Participation in client meetings, presentations, and project discussions
-        Collaboration with industry partners for maintenance and updating of office material library alongside full Interior Design team
-        Involvement in general office operations 

Qualifications:

-        A passion for good design, sustainable design principles, and the built environment
-        Exhibits a strong design sense and capability to convey ideas through graphic skills and visualizations/renderings
-        Prior experience and proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino or equivalent 3D modeling/visualization software, and MS Office Suite
-        Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills
-        Prior experience working in markets such as residential, restaurant, workplace, and/or retail environments
-        Ability to work effectively and collaboratively on multiple projects of varying scales and complexity at different phases of delivery
-        Possesses knowledge of building codes, industry standards, detailing, and formatting of construction drawing sets

Requirements:

-        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
-        5-10 years of professional working experience
-        Professional Licensure is optional but encouraged and supported  
-        Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
-        Ability to commute to our Pittsburgh office or willing to relocate
